Can we talk about how pro play games is manipulating the presale markets with fake purchases???? They posted 8 copies of AA Diaboromon for $39.99 ea and they somehow “sold out” just like majority of their other expensive AA prerelease listings. This is crazy and getting out of hand.

I hate being the ackchulally guy with silly semantics, but North America doesn’t like Numemon. It’s definitively THE best deck in the format. Most Nume players are playing it because it’s good and much more affordable compared to Magna X. When it comes to game cultures between North America and Japan, North America favors competitive play rather than casual play and vice versa despite tournament attendance. Japanese players are more inclined to pick their pet decks compared to going with the flow of the meta which is the kind of sentiment I try to emulate even in competition.

To clarify my statement. You shouldn’t have to pay a car payment minimum to play/enjoy a hobby. It is your money spend it how you want, not how others want you to spend it (except your significant other or financial advisor. Listen to them).

If you're going to shell out for expensive arts, only do it for the right reason, which isn't to flex. It's to appreciate the art for yourself. If just that isn't worth it to you, then for sure, spend your money on better things.

My personal rule for max rarity is to only do it if it’s a deck you truly love and a deck you don’t plan to drop anytime soon. I respect your endeavor, but maybe it was a bit too ambitious with trying to get EVERY max rarity yellow card.

money story here. I am a digimon collector. Have every single card on release as I have my personal seller who organizes for me. The problem is that bt16 has hit me hard, not cause price but personal sence of I could have just wait. I don't play, or flex, I just love digimon and will collect them all, but hope that I don't see this again, at least on bt16 degree or I will just wait a month after release to buy from now on

Lowest legal for official play rarities for me, always. Wish I could get non-shiny versions of everything.

You gotta do you! Your reason is sound! I personally enjoy collecting the cards, I will get one copy of whichever card I am trying to get, and it goes into my collection binder. I don't use alt arts in my decks, I just get the cheapest copies of them so I can just play the game. Makes me happy collecting and playing this way. (I also don't normally spend more than $100 on any one card, if I do even get close to $100 its gotta be something I really love, unless I pull it or win it)

Ive been trying so hard to get a magnamon alternate art (tamer party special). I can't find that anywhere at a price I can afford. I was hoping to complete a collection of all classic style throwback art cards...

I personally think that is cooler to have different arts in one deck than everything max rarity. I also dont spend money on alts, only keep the ones i manage to pull.

I only get 1ofs on the decks I like. I get 1 of each of the alts (only 1 star can't afford 2 stars) and that's good another for me I don't need a playset of alts

Just a question about membership, not the right video maybe, but there has been no additional content for members(decklists, market stuff, etc.) for over a month. I'm not saying there needs to be daily things, but once a week would be nice in order to feel like I'm actually getting the return on being a member.

Did the same in One Piece. Bought the whole Edward deck in high rare, including 4 Manga Ace. Didn't have time to play for a month and then only played 3 locals before starting to sell it again. I will do the same for 7DL and might commit to Ogudomon V3. Sometimes we buy to show off, sometimes we buy for our soul.

Ive only maxed 2 decks in Beelzemon and Gammamon (without the topper sirusmon even so not even really max) only because I love thoes digimon, otherwise if i get a cool card here and there awesome but I dont need them to play

I picked up all the alt art wargrey stuff (bwg included) because I was a og fan of wargrey. Then I felt that high of max rarity and did the same with bloom for nats. Since then that need has worn off esp since those decks have dropped in playabilty, and I've started sticking with min rarity. I've bought too many max rare cards that I didn't even touch . The lesson I learned was only get the alt arts you actually like with the understanding that they will probably not appreciate in value.

Those lottery cards remind me of magic's phyrexian oil cards; really ugly.

This is just a fundamental societal problem of people trying to impress people,who don't really matter, with stuff that impresses nobody really.

This has been the most puzzling topic in digimon for me as a new guy. People want max rarity more in this game than any other game. I personally don't get it. I see someone with max rarity cards and all I got to say to them is, "nice card"...it's not impressive, I don't class that person higher than me and I certainly am not jealous bcuz my cards can still play the game and I've got money in my pocket.

The Liberator stuff is bound to get reprinted, and it's not even that great. Yeah, the green birds look cool and do cool stuff, but they can wait.

Mirei will be expensive, but it won't hold as well as Rina. UlforceVeedramon requires a full playset of Rina to work. Mastemon requires maybe two copies of the new Mirei, tops. How mandatory the card is will also affect the price.

What Pteromon reprint is coming?

why is that pre-sale price for Mirei so expensive, I got my alt art for 70aud, and this is almost the same price unconverted for the base art

Reminder that if you buy a card for $17, and sell it for $20, you don't actually make money after TCG Player fees. Realistically, if you buy at $15, you need to sell at $20 just to break even. Never forget that 15% fee + shipping + tax (depending on your state).
